I don't mind preferences. But coming on here and making blanket statements about western women being XYZ is what most object to. If caveats such as in my opinion, the girls that I have dated have been ABC I wouldn't care.

1. Why do you seek to put others down in order to make your girl seem so much better.

2. Heaven forbid the women might have something better to do than put on her make -up every time she ventures in sight of a man. I don't know about others but I got better things to do with my time. It doesn't mean I don't care about scrubbing up. Hell this weekend I'm going to a ball. But on days when I'm running errants, or off to the gym, I don't feel the need to get all laqured up, and ruin some of my nice clothes so that I may be appealing to the eye 24/7.

Thus.....the observed captivation that most of us have with the Asian ladies. Get used to it. Your problem lemongirl(by the way, you wouldn't be un any way affiliated with the now absent poster "Lemonade" would you?) is that you probably see yourself in that girl as her man's eyes wandered to my girl who was looking good for the occasion. "Oh it's not fair! I feel like I'm just as good as she is! Why can't this man just see the true beauty in ME??!!??" I dont always dress like a Latin lover either but when my girl comes around I always make sure I clean up and look faily good. You like a lot of American gals seem to think that us guys should just swoon over you because you are "legends in your own minds". It doesn't work that way. If you are dressed like you are a homeless person or a earth child student please do the rest of the civilized world a favor and don't become resentful if men show more atttention toward a women who's "dressed for success" with regards to sexual attraction. Men are men and we like our eye candy. It may not be "fair" to all you career geniuses who rationalize that we should be sexually motivated by all the things that we are obviuosly not. It's reality, it won't change, cannot be socially reverse-engineered out of us, and is futile for you to become bitter over. Trust me I feel best when I am at home in my jammies and slippers but if I hit the club scene dressed in those my chances of attracting anyone would be slim to none. My business suits are uncomfortable and not my first choice in aparel I'm fond of for lounging in, but if I want to grab the attention of a lady then I know I have to bite the bullet and look good.

I mean... we're here in Korea and there are lots of Asian women all around us. I don't have a special thing for them specifically (and as I've noted in the past on here, I usually can't stand K-girl personalities) but when I got here I was a single guy and there are more opportunities to meet asian women than American women... Asian women are just as hot as American women and in its just as likely you'll find one with whom you click, numbers being equal. Numbers here are not equal so that's why so many guys end up with them I reckon.

Most of the vitrol that comes from the females on this board has little to do with us and a lot to do with the fact that they are no longer at the top of the social order like they were back in the West. It stands to reason that a man would be attracted to a Korean woman moreso becasue of the fact that, aside form the afforementioned physicalities, he is in HER country and she is a doorway to lots of things that otherwise might pass right by him. Western gals are, like us guys, fishes out of water and the things that made them socially successful back home don't cut it here.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you have a Korean wife Itaewon? I mean I could be mistaken but apparently you didn't end up with one of those Hot american sex sirens either. My main reason for not being able to find what I was looking for back home is that I am no longer a post teen early 20ish guy. But when I was I had no problem whatsoever gettin those HOT girls. Problem is that when those HOT girls hit the big 30 or roundabouts they just didn't look quite as HOT anymore.

She is 30 and I am 35. Not exactly the answer you were hoping for I'll assume. If you would take the time to read back a few threads you'd already know I prefer to date women my own age.

Yes I dated some really hot girls to in High school and University also. So what? That was then for both of us. And for the record my high school sweetheart was elected homecoming queen her senior year.

Again, please re-read the thread before making these riduculously innacurate statements. They only chip away at your credibility, which I might add was a bit higher before you went ape all over this thread. I want a woman my age because we simply have more in common at the intellectual/maturity level. I am slim, have washboard abs, and am reasonably attractive in many ways. What is available back home thats my age is usually overweight, physically fledging, and just generally not attractive to me. Not a far trade in my opinion....what they get compared to what I'd get. If it boiled down to it I'd go for a younger woman who looked better than an older one who didn't. But I don't have to here.....no further point in discussion.

I am in quite good shape thank you. I pratice Tageyon 5 nights a week and just recently donned a 28 inch waist pair of jeans. I havent done that since high school. If the guy you speak of is having more fun diluding himself about his young 18 year old gal rather than wallowing in wrecked self esteem and only able to date equally fat, and ugly old women, I say more power to him. But again none of that applies to me. In fact none of this does. Sorry the reality of my life and circumstances couldn't be more suitable to your inflated ego.

See that's my point. The guys I've hooked up with have been because I find them intersting, fun and hot. Not because they are hotter than the other guys. I try not to treat my partner like a stock option, an expensive car or a computer which you see to do by seeking to qualify her attributes.

I didn't disagree that physical attraction plays a part, but it's not the only part. I've got more to life than just spending my time worrying about attracting and being attractive to men 24/7. I find that lifestyle boring, and quite frankly I would rather be with a guy who asked me out as sweaty mess at the gym (as has happened on occassion) then worrying about looking perfect all the time.

I am not nor do I have to "qualify her attributes". She is what she is. And I might add that she asked me out first. I simply took a look and said....yeah sure! She is interesting and fun also. If she were just a trophy girlfriend then it would be a very shalow relationship and nowhere near where we are at now in the planning stage. I think lots of guys might come off like this and give you the impression that their relaionships are shallow when in fact they are much deeper than you realize. It's not a whole lot different than the constant "harping on your boyfriends" that you Western gals do that we find so annoying.

I agree. and I am not obsessed with those things although you would probably agrue with me over it. I simply refuse to go out with or become even remotely intimately involved with a woman that I don't find good looking. Call that obsessed if you want but I know that if I dont find them attractive there is no possiblity for an intimate relationsip between us. Zip nada nothing. I don't want to lead someone on and get their hopes up that there is something there that will never be. I have had many female friends that I have valued their friendship, I just don't want to sleep with them and never will.

There is no disagreement here. I am simply saying that for whatever reasons previously mentioned the Asian women seem to do this and as a result we pay more attention towards them. I for one like the view when I go out anywhere in Korea...miniskirts, thin legs, tight butts, and clothes that bring it all out!

Ditto peppermint. And my girlfriend works more hours than I. She also lives 1 hour away by bus. We see each other on the weekends.
