Zillow has aerial photos of neighborhoods, prices of other homes, charts and graphs with historical data and price movements of the property in question, number of bedrooms and baths, square footage, when the property was built, what kind of heating and cooling system it has, the type of roofing and even the construction quality.
pretty impressive website.. www.zillow.com
just saw it from yahoo news.. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060224/wr_nm/column_pluggedin_dc |

Great timing! I just started researching real estate in my hometown.
It's also fun checking out homes of family and friends.
Thanks for the link. |

Thanks for the link.
EDIT: It's great fun, as well as informative and educational, to check actual listings,
then find the property on Zillow, then Google Earth.
Near one home I checked is a HUGE sprawling structure, perhaps a church, on about an 8 city block lot.
On Google, it's a vacant grassy lot. Anyone know how old the Google Earth imagery is??
That had to have taken a while to build.
Sis just sold her house and moved. She says the Zillow estimates are low, at least where she checked.
Still a very nice tool.
grr.. phpBB |

where are you looking?
i've been able to find a lot of things in cities.. but not condos.. it has to be actual houses.
looked up my parents house in rural michigan.. no data available yet.
however.. for the most part.. the site is really amazing.. for what it does have.. very detailed.. still can't believe how cheap real estate is in Texas for example compared to say New Mexico.. particularly when wages are higher in TX than NM. |

I'm only looking in Ft. Worth, TX.
Haven't looked at condos. Townhomes show up. And areas are unavailable. I suppose it's new and developing. |
