exit 6 (I think) of gyeongbok station on line 3. Immgration on the fifth floor of the builiding with the hana bank (you gotta go around the building to get to the lifts). People there are a lot nicer than the ones at mokdong.

That's true. The people at Gyeongbuk have been known to say goodbye on occasion. They also haven't got the disdainful, 'why do you weird people bother us everyday', sneer like they have at Mokdong.

They've been there for years. I think it's just that Immigration didn't make a big noise about the existence of their Annex Office (and damn them for doing that) until recently. Having a business and doing property-relating things (as a foreigner), I go there for a lot more than just visa renewal/extension/re-entry errands. And I fear that the more foreigners find out about it, the more that staff will start to resemble the crew down at the (run a-)Mok-dong Swamp. You know, that "Oh great, just what I need -- another foreigner and their problems Rolling Eyes" attitude. Sad

Never heard of it. Best stick with Mok-dong. The devil you know...

Are they open on Saturdays? I recently heard a vicious rumor that immigration is closed on Saturdays.

The rumour has some substance. Best to call them.
