Might be crazy, but that is my plan.
I am more than willing to go it alone, but I wonder if there is anyone out there who would like to do it with me?
The plan is to depart from Vancouver May 15, and end up in St-John's 2 months, or so, after that.
Also, anyone ever done this? Any recommendations for a newbie? |

It has been done and documented over a hundred times. Find some of those accounts and get some tips.
Now, if you wanna do a coast-to-coast-to-coast trip, up to the artic circle, then only a dozen such journeys have been done by bike.
Good luck whatever. |

Why is your avatar as big as a moose's behind? Could you shrink it a bit? |

Here's a guy who did it:
http://beauchamp.relyon.ca/crosscanada/
It was a pretty interesting read. There are a surprising number of people who do bike across Canada during the summer and there's a great sense of fraternity along the way. |

Biking Canada is also one of my plans! It will be quite the adventure I'm sure. However, the first plan is to come to Korea and get some money for the biking. |

Sounds like a cool idea....
There are a few companies that do this , organize and you ride in a group.....different groups depending on how advanced a cyclist you are.....You'll easily find the companies with a google. Even if you are going to do it alone, worthwhile to check it out. ...

Unbelievably the record for cycling cross Canada is just over 10 days.!!!!! |

I don't have any hard info. Talked to cyclist friends about it and believe they said it was set by the ultracyclist jure Robic....he also holds the 24 hour world record of 520 + miles or well over 20mph average. ........ he also won RAAM.
I will try to find some details when I get a moment. Also was a recent NY times article about Robic. Remember reading it on the ultralist I belong to. A great read, quite the incredible guy...... I still think that his 24 hour feat is less than that of the Greek ultraruner Yiannis Kouros who ran 303 km in 24 hours!!!!

Go to SE Asia. It'll be cheaper, and much more interesting. I did Bangkok to HCMC a year ago. The best way, by far, to see SE Asia.
See http://www.mrpumpy.net/ for some great info. |
