Will I have any trouble buying monthly disposable contact lenses in Seoul? What are the prices like compared to home?

Am I better of stocking up massively before leaving home?

No, they are available in Korea. I've seen them. They are expensive.

Yes, you should stock up before you come.

I've never been able to get them for my eyes ( got astigmatism). Otherwise they're definitely available, not sure of prices though Might want to bring some good eyedrops too. I don't imagine wearing contacts is much fun during yellow dust season

Expensive???

A box of Bausch and Lomb Softlens 66 is $50 (6 pieces), and now you get 2 extra pieces for free.

Definitely stock up on the eye drops, don't know how much disposables cost because since I've gotten here I've only been able to wear contacts for a few hours at a time unless I want to put drops in every hour or so, if I don't .[img]http://santiago.mapache.org/art/paint/fullsize/DemonEyes.jpeg
Never had that problem before and I've worn contacts for about 20 years.[/img]

I've only been here since the beginning of December and can't imagine what the fall will be like.

Back in Europe I used to wear Bausch and Lomb Pure Vision lenses, but I had to realise very soon that they don't work in Korea. Not to mention that they are relatively expensive compared to other lenses ($120 for 3 pairs) it is impossible to use my lenses night and day here. I switched to Softlens 66, and remove them for the night.

Where is home?

If you're from NZ, then DON'T stock up before you come, contact lenses and solution are far cheaper in Korea.

The problem with korean lenses is that they carry a limited number of brands. I couldn't find my one, so had to stock up at home. I know they do have acuvue.

OoO! Get "toric" lenses!

I have astigmatism in my right eye, and when I wore disposable contacts I had a toric lense for my right eye, and a normal one for my left Very Happy

I used to have them in Canada, but I've never been able to find them here. Doesn't matter much, since I'll probably get the laser surgery when I go home.
