Is there someplace in Seoul that has lots of scooter sales places nearby each other?
I need to get a scooter. I don't speak any Korean; I start class Monday night. I have a Korean friend who can help me look at scooters on Saturday. I want to really use his time well, and would like to go someplace with many scooter sales places nearby each other.
I need it mostly to drive to the subway station and back when going into downtown; I live on compus and walk to work. So I don't want a new one just because I am afraid it will be stolen at the subway station (Sadang, Nakseongdae). I wiegh 85 kg, so maybe 90 cc is better than 50 cc.
Any recomendations or advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Around Chungmuro station(Line 4) is the "autobike" maket area of Seoul. If you head out exits 1 or 9 I think and head west for about 5 minutes you will hit a whole row of shops selling scooters, motorcycles, atv's, and everything you need to ride them. New and used, imported or domestic you should be able to find what you are looking for there. Best of Luck,

Hello all, I looked at the Chungmuro station and it is indeed a great place to go to look around. Out exit 1 or 9 then walk East. Go past the puppies and then there are the scooters.
But I ended up buying my 125 cc Forte from a shop near Itaewon. From the Noksakpyoung station go North one block. His shop is on the East side of the road just past the Mexican Restaurant. I thought the owner was nice and I have a good feeling about the whole thing now that the purchase is done. Sure, he likes my money, but I think he really likes foreigners too. He drove me to the gas station and then he drove me all the way back to SNU, cause I am not ready to face Seoul traffic just yet.
Anyway, I recommend his shop.
Thanks,
