I'm surprised it took that long to announce. South Park should've gone after Scientology long ago, but probably held back because of Hayes.

As a die-hard fan of the show, I'm sad to see him go. However, his character has in recent years become less visible, and several of the best recent epsiodes are Chef-free. I don't think it will take that much away from the formula.
I can't wait to see him get torpedoed next season. |

Replace the bolded words with the correct terms and you could be describing any religion. |

I'm about as atheist as you can get, but even I can tell there's a huge gap between the two. The world religions evolved over centuries and changed as society changed (although anywhere from a couple decades to a couple centuries behind at times), and have been affected by individuals in the religions. Scientology has more in common with a pyramid scheme than any of these religions. It is the cult version of North Korea, with L Ron Hubbard as the Dear Leader. |

They all had to start somewhere.. Doesn't matter at which point in history they started at, it's all the same B.S.. just different label..
Scientology will grow as long as celebrities keep promoting it and people keep being obcessed over celebrities... |

| Chef was a great character and Isaac Hayes had almost no career since his Shaft days until South Park dragged him out of the one hit wonder trash heap of history. The South Park crowd seriously made him cool. Leaving because after years of making fun of cripples, chinese people, etc. suddenly they take on scientology, that's not going to win him any points in the iPod generation. |

| As the creators of the show pointed out this is not about the show's racism and bigotry (as Mr Hayes says it is) it's all about Scientology as Mr Hayes had NO problems cashing quite a few checks for working on South Park shows that made fun of Christianity. |

Every couple of months? Try every couple of days.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I am getting pretty sick and tired of all the religion drivel on this forum. There should be a separate forum for spam like that, or it should be posted in the Current Events forum where people who actually give a shiite can read it.
The other day I was waiting for a train in Seoul Station. I waited there for about an hour. In that time I was harassed by SIX separate religious freaks, be they Christians, Jehova Witnesses or whatever. People who constantly bang on about their religion or God or the Bible or Krisha or whatever should do everyone else a favour and stuff it. |
