I found this article on the asia's finest board. One of the craziest things I've ever read. I don't even know what to make of it.

Here is my beautiful and perfect translation:
Animals! When a girl who was raped goes to buy the morning-after pill, it happens again
A taxi driver, a pharmacist, and others were arrested by the police for raping a girl who had asked them for help because she had already been raped previously.
A second year high school student named Ms. Song (15 years old), went to meet a Mr. Lee (24 years old) who she had gotten to know on the internet. Mr. Lee said he would take her to a movie in Buk-gu Gopo-dong, Busan.
Telling her, "we can watch a movie in a motel," Mr. Lee lured her to a local motel, intimidated her by saying he was part of a Korean gang, then raped her.
The next day, Ms. Song, afraid that she would be pregnant, went to a local pharmacy to by the "morning after pill" which she had heard about from a friend. The pharmacist, a Mr. Park (27 years old), pulled her into his office saying that he would tell her about the medicine, and sexually assaulted her.
Later, Ms Song was feeling distraught and looked to find an internet chatting partner to talk to. She came to know a Mr. Kim (amusement park worker, 24 years old). After chatting several times, Mr. Song grew to trust Mr. Kim, who seemed to be very kind, and told him everything about her experience.
On February 10th, around 4 AM, Ms. Song met Mr. Kim in person, trusting that he would counsel and console her. Believing him to be like a close friend, she drank the liquor that Mr. Kim provided her and eventually lost conciousness.
On that same day, around 11 AM, Ms. Song awoke to find she had been raped and her money, cell phone, and other articles amounting 560,000 won had been stolen.
Feeling betrayed, she got into the nearest taxi to go to the police station and file a report. When the taxi driver, a Mr. Jeong (35 years old), ask her why she was going there, she tearfully told him the answer. Mr. Jeong pretended to give her consolation, and when she had fallen asleep, he drove the car to an underground parking garage and raped her.
Also, acquaintence of Ms. Song, a Mr. Choi (23 years old) came to know about the pharmacist who had assaulted her and extorted 200,000 won from him by threatening to go to the police.
In the police report, Ms. Song stated that "All men are like animals and I'm afraid to go outside."
On March 2, from the Bukbu police station, warrants were filed for the arrest of the taxi driver Jeong and the amusement park worker Kim on charges of violating child sexual protection laws. Mr. Lee is also wanted. Mr. Choi has been charged without physical detention.
The pharmacist has reached an agreement with Ms. Song and she has dropped the charges.

Is this for real?
How unfortunate is that poor girl to be raped so many times.

It was mentioned in an article in the Korean times a week or so ago and I think there might've been a thread on here about it |

A flawless translation. *clap clap* (I just suppose ౹ might be a bit different from .) This sad story really sounds like a scenario that could've been written by Kim Ki-duk. |

not sure, but I think the general assumption in Korea is that if a girl is raped, then it is her fault- either for dressing revealingly, or being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The knowledge that prostitution is so widespread, cheap, and available here causes a certain disbelief that a man has to rape someone. its a bit like accusing someone from China of stealing tea. "She must've done something to cause it" is the thinking.
Besides, a woman who is known to have been "shamed" and openly tells strangers has clearly lost her self respect and is open to abuse. This is the general view. |

It does seem a litte far-fetched. Why on earth is a second-year high school girl spending all her time with men in their 20s and 30s?
If it is true, though, it is despicable. And I wouldn't put it past the guys I have known in Korea. |

After seeing the yelling, grabbing and pushing that some Korean guys do to Korean girls on the street, I have a pretty dim view of korean sexual attitudes.
That said, the story is pretty bizarre.
1. You meet someone on the internet, get raped. And then you go out and meet somebody else on the internet? At 4 AM? And drink yourself unconscious? (...and this isn't "blame the victim" stuff. I just find it hard to believe.)
2.The fact that somebody she knew tried to pull some extortion scheme, plus the fact that the charges were dropped against the pharmacy worker...it's all a little odd.
But the police seem to be taking it seriously, and people say the police rarely take rape seriously...so...who knows. |
