I'm trying to find an Irish bar in Daegu in which to celebrate St. Paddy's Day. Does anyone know of any? I don't think I've ever encountered a town without one, authentic or not... |

I noticed an Irish bar in Gyeongbuk last night - at least an attempt at an Irish themed bar, anyway. I didn't visit, but it is called O'Kim's [groan] and it is opposite the bus stop outside Gyeongbuk University's North Gate. You can't miss the signage - huge green lit O'Kim's on the 2nd or 3rd floor of a building directly opposite the large Daegu bank next to the North Gate. |

There's a pub called Old Blue behind cell phone street downtown, exit 12 Banwoldang. You might also want to try the Ariana Hotel in Su-seong(?)and see if they are celebrating. |

Across from Ansan Park there's an Irish pub. Unfortunately, I've been p*ssed everytime I've been there, so I can't remember the name. |

O'Kim's in Daegu? What's he going to do for St. Patty's Day? Serve green kimchi?
Wake up guys! He's not an irish pub! Just some Korean selling Guiness for 8000 won a pint, right?
Sounds like you're missing home. |

What do you think Irish people would think of O'Kims?
Another thing I am wondering is if I can get a hunk of grilled squid with my Guiness?

Anthony (the Brit) has moved on to greener pastures. People's Club is still there, but under new management. |
