Sounds like they were just angry that you caught them on their attempt to be perceived as a more serious educational institution sanctioned by the gov't when in fact they're just a private hagwon like all others. It might work on a newbie, but I guess they hadn't counted on you knowing so much about Korea.

If their fudging like that right out of the gates and responding like that when called on their BS, best to give them a wide berth. I'm always amazed at how quickly some of them can turn so vengeful when one points out the obvious fudging.

Edit:
Took down my third post. Suffice it to say I exchanged silly emails with a recruiting organization, and it was a turn off.

Why take down the posts Smee? Did they threaten to prevent you from ever teaching in Korea again? Rolling Eyes That would be a real bummer huh?

Anyway, you could always check if they are a real fully licensed recruiting company(highly unlikely)and then make them sweat.

Ahh the memories...hey a few years ago I b.itched about a recruiter sending me irrelevant job postings and he, thinking I was a Kyopo, called me "banana" and told me to go back to my own country? In retrospect, I do find it funny that he said that he didn't need a sassy teacher like me. Laughing

(the good times may be read about there). I also found this elsewhere on the internet:

Quote:
Hi, ANYONE talking to this e-mail address:

[email protected] and a person by the name of:
Lee Yoon-hee WATCH OUT! This person is a complete FRAUD. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS PERSON.

IF you ask questions, demand facts, answers, information, etc., about any contract, school, etc., he/she gets really shitty. They try and pry as much data out of you as possible. DO NOT FALL FOR IT! They sell this information on the black market.

After I asked for details on a highly suspect offering, this is what I got today.

Lee Yoon-hee wrote: I think youd better be a police officer or a lawyer than being a teacher. Im sorry that I dont want to refer you to any institute. Try another recruiting agencies who can make you satisfy. Are you gonna sue me for this comment? Well, I think youre one of the most horrible person Ive ever met on the internet. I do not want to talk to you anymore!
