Hi, there,
Every once in awhile I do a Internet search on my name. Today when I did it I found my passport photo page and resume on this site. (See link below) I never gave them permission to do this and I wonder how they got this info. I think this is illegal and I am wondering what I can do about it. Any serious advice will be appreciated.

I would imagine this is illegal. Pay a personal visit to the company. [/quote]
Thanks blackbear. I am no longer in Korea so I cannot pay a personal visit. I will call the passport office tomorrow and ask them what I can do. |

They have an online form to fill out that anyone could have used to post your personnal information online. Have you dealt with a recruiter?
If there's any kind of information that can be used for identity theft, don't bother calling them. Get a lawyer. |

I found my name listed at a similar site. They had me as a teacher working for them.
I had never heard of them.
I think a lot of the agencies either share or pilfer from each other. |

The passport office would not be able to help you there (I think).
Better for you to call the company directly and ask for the documents to be removed from their website.
If that does not work..try legal action (if it matters to you that much of course). They should not have posted this information in the first place! |

Well, it looks like it's just the picture, not the whole page. It's illegal to scan a passport though. Nonetheless, pretty damn shocking. I would get your embassy involved, and have them contact the company. See if they wet their pants then!! |
