Hello,
I wanted to find out, if my laptop will work in Korea, as far as the wireless connection goes. I bought a Dell 9300 laptop that I will be bringing over to Korea, but I wasn't sure, if the connections are the same. I currently use the Belkin Wireless Pre N Router here in the U.S. My question is: Can I use that router in Korea or do I have to buy one out there? Do I have to do configure my laptop or get a new network card to work out there? I am not a computer expert, so I wasn't sure what I should do.
Thanks |

This is probably a technology board question. But, in my (limited) experience, wireless is wireless, the world over. |

you're fine! My laptop works equally well at starbucks in Korea and Canada! Why do you need a router? Power suply is 220 here so I would leave it at home. Plug it in at your home, and mooch off free wifi points at other times. I have up to 6 ones I mooch off of when I'm having a latte on the roof reading the paper in the morning

How do you get free wifi points? Is Seoul going to be totally wireless soon? (Or is it already totally wireless?) I've used my laptop at Starbucks. How do you get it to work outside at say a park or something?
Cheers! |

I just bought a laptop, and it works really nice. I tried it outside, and found I can connect at several different places. I saw some people talking on here about Nespot, and now I am curious about getting it.
How does Nespot work in your home if you don't get a Nespot signal, though? |
