I'm in Seoul now...I just got back from taking the CELTA in China...had a great time
I need to find a place to stay in Daegu while I'm looking for work. Anyone know of a way to do this? I'm having a lot of trouble finding a place since Korea is not designed for the temporary migrant individual on his own.
I don't need much, even a communal shower situation would be fine. I have looked for a Hasuk to rent for a month or two, but haven't had much luck. No hostels to find in Daegu-- and I don't know where to begin on yogwans. I don't want to spend 30,000 a night.
Also, I have Korean friends that can do the talking if you know of anything that won't help unless a Korean speaker is involved.
I'd really appreciate anyone's help in this. Thanks. |

Many yogwans in Daegu will bargain out a nightly fee that's seriously reduced if you stay awhile. Some places in Daegu now cost 15,000 per night, so I'd try going to one of them (they aren't all that sleazy) and trying for 12,000. The really cheap places I've found are mostly between and װŸ. I've never found a yogwan in Daegu that charged 30,000... you'll be fine. |

how about a GoSiWon. it's close to being a hostel.
there are tons of them in the area between Daegu Sation and Migliore department store.
by the month, they should have the cheapest rates going.
take a bus or taxi to Migliore and then hit the streets behind it (and a bit left of it)...i counted 3 the other day when i was in the area. |

Thanks guys...I'll try that...I unfortunately am still in seoul so I might have to beg someone else to go searching those areas. If anyone walks by these places and can get me a number that would be ausgezeichnet |
