It would depend ont the university. Canadian universities work on credit hours. A standard courseload at two semesters a year takes an average of 4 to 4.5 years. Some students do it faster by loading up on credit hours and doing summer semesters, some students take longer because they work or do an honours program. If a students fastracks it, it's still considered a 4 year degree.

A 2 year Associate of Arts (which is two full years of credit hours) is accepted in some countries. Some with a tesl and some without. It's not accepted in either Korea or Japan.

I think it used to be possible for students in Ontario to do a 3 year degree because they used to do grade 13. Not sure on that tho.
An honours program does not mean it's 4 years and a regular BA is 3...that makes no sense. An honours program means about 12 more credit hours, at least a B+ avg. and an honours thesis.
