Just got a contract there and have a few questions that i hope some can help me with:-)?

Are there many basketball courts or general sporting facilities in the city?

Are there any expat areas?

Whats the nightlife like, clubs etc or is it to small for that?

And am just wondering on whats the best mode of transport to get there from Incheon airport and if there easy to locate once arrive?

There's like seven universities in that town, so there's a decent bar scene, and sports facilities. The area around Chung buk uni is the main nightlife area, though there are lots of bars downtown too. There's not a specific expat area, but you'll see other foreigners around for sure.

You can get a direct bus from the airport to Cheongju intercity bus terminal no problem, though the school should really send someone to meet you at the airport. If not, you get the bus at area 8B ( just ask someone where that is when you go past customs) and the cost is 12, 400W

Thanks peppermint. Havn't quite gotten to the point on wether i'll get a pick-up at the airport but i'd say i will, just wanted to know in case they don't front up.
