Hello to all,

I would like to know if there is a tropical area in Korea that one could teach at. OOh, I love the weather in Thialand, Filipines and the Caribbean (I know, I know that humid tropical weather is not for everyone).

Is there a area in Korea that might be a good match weather wise?
( I also need a wieght training gym) Smile

Jeju Island (Cheju-do) is the closest you'll come.

You might check a map. If you want tropical weather you might have more luck closer to the equator. Korea has snow.

And be careful with those barbells.

Je-ju do gets the term sub tropical quite often. Don't really care for that one, though. South of the island along the coast line isn't the tropics, but you will find healthly mix vegitation from tropics and temperate climes. Yes, you can find this mix else where, like the south coast of Korea, but it looks weak and barely hanging on. The south coast line of je-ju do is the only place where you will see it trive. My answer to you, if Korea suits you, is Seogwi-po city. And yes, it will snow there once or twice a year for a dusting, and you will get light frosts from time to time during the short winter, but nothing to wreak any vegitation.

A separate climatic zone clips the S. E corner, covering Pusan and around 30km radius around it. The climate here is slightly warmer to the rest of Korea, and same as Japan.

Yeah, braddah, it's in Itaewon District in Seoul. Or try one of those sit-ins of worked up clueless student protestor of the American military presence on the peninsula.
