I personally can't stand the stuff, but I drink it if I'm in a restaurant 'cause usually that's all they have. However, you'll never see Korean beer in my fridge. I don't enjoy it because it is too light and flat for me. How do you feel about Korean beer? |

Overly carbonated and too sweet. Also needs more hops. |

It's lager and therefore does not count.
But it's cheap. |

Definately over-carbonated but it's not as bad as some people make it out to be. It won't be exported but it's good enough here. |

I think they're starting to export it (to Japan anyway) because I saw some in a liqour shop in Tokyo. I couldn't believe my eyes. I don't know who would buy Korean beer over there because Japanese beer is very tasty. Curious people or Korean students studying over there maybe.
You're absolutely right about the over-carbonation. That's what really ruins it. If they changed that and upped the alcohol content to 5%, Korean beer would be pretty good.
Korean brewpub beer is pretty good. If only someone would bottle it and distribute it. That would be great! |

Korean beer is not the fermented beverage we know and love. All types of Korean "beers" are nothing more than various barley teas with soju added in . That's that. |

Korean beer might not be the best out there, but it will get you to the zone. ^^ You might have to drink few pitchers more but it will get you there.
When in Korea I usually prefer Sapporo Silver Cup (even though I know it's Japanese). Two or three of those huge steel cans and... voila!
