I've been told not to do "private teaching" because there will not be any recourse if caught by goverment authorities.

My hagwon owner is willing to let me teach them at the hagwon on the week-ends. The school will invoice the student. The monies that will be deducted will be used to pay for the tax. The rest will be handed over to the teacher.
Since the taxes are being paid and I'm working in the location that is designated on my e2 visa is there anything that is missing that would make it illegal.

If you are teaching at your designated place of employment, how are you teaching *private's*?

(And by the way, why do you need an apostrophe for *lets* and *privates*??)

Privates mean teaching at a place not in your contract and not paying taxes..

If you are teaching at the place in your contract and you are paying taxes, the only thing they might say is that the hours are not stipulated in your contract, but I believe those are called overtimes....

Yiu can teach privates as long as you do it at your school.

This is called overtime. Good strategy by the boss to make you kinda worry about whether it's legal--so you'll be less focused on the actual "deduction."

But I may be wrong, you may just work for the Haggy Owner of the Century.
