Anyone else in Bundang wake up to AFN (the TV channel) being gone and all of the other channels being changed around?

Did ABN suddenly stop carrying AFN? Or is my cable somehow just messed up? It changed overnight last night.....

sometimes the apartment changes cable companies! you will just have to re tune in AFK.. becuase AFN is not on the cable network anyway!
so just manually tune it in..

Hey itaewonguy....
How on earth do you manually tune in AFN? I also am in Bundang. Now I am watching my favorite channel, "discovery". I am thrilled to have gotten that all of a sudden today. But I also want my AFN back!

when i lived in seoul, AFN came without hooking up cable - just plug the tv in and it was one of the 4 channels available.

but, in bundang it doesn't seem to be that way... i have one tv with ABN cable, which also has been changed and all of my channels are different as of last night - no AFN, but instead discovery and national geographic (if only i could get CNN again).

but i also have one tv that i don't run cable through, and AFN isn't there either, and it's not possible to "tune it in" - so i have no idea what itaewon guy is talking about (but that's nothing unusual for me)...

Yep, this sucks. Discovery is a good consolation though. I did really enjoy watching both the late shows at night though... too bad.

I think he means that the remote control might skip over it. (go from channel 12, 13, 14, 16) and you'd just have to type in 15. But I tried that with all the channels and couldn't find it. I hope it's temporary.

I was watching Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers when channel 26 swtiched over to home shopping.

you dont know how to tune in a tv channel?
there will be a button on the TV or on the remote!
you press it and it will tune in the channel!
you might have to play with the settings and take your tv presets off of the cable channel.. and go to TV,, and then tune it in manually there
that will mean when you want to watch AFN you will need to go to channel ? on the tv I dont know how you have you system set up
you running it through the video?
if its just through the tv. then find a number which is not used and manual tune the tv until you find AFN..

AFN is off ABN's (the cable company in Bundang) lineup.

Sucks.

Drives me crazy. The Korean government severely limits the amount of English language tv channels into the country, yet you can watch the really really ridiculous Arirang propaganda tv channel throughout Asia.

the Korean government has nothing to do with it..

This is how it works...the cable company will have say a 6 month contract for a certain station...they will demand a price and if the broadcaster pays then it broadcasts it shows..

What probably happened is on of 2 things..
1) AFN and another channel were bidding for the same slot and the other station bid higher and so got the channel..

2)The cable station may have raised their rates and the American government is too tight to pay so they decided that the cable charge wasn't worth it...
