Man, reading this article brought me back.

Quote:
#8: Double Dragon.

While Bad Dudes might have the sweetest plot of any 8-bit beat-em-up (Ninjas have kidnapped the President, are you bad enough?) Double Dragon's opening scene of some thugs punching your girlfriend in the stomach and carrying her off is pretty damn sweet as well, not to mention concise and to-the-point.

I'd have to vote for Ms Packman as manliest video game ever.

Well, some manly games are missing, such as:
1) Mortal Kombat
2) Rygar
3) Winning Eleven
4) Colin McCrae Rally
5) Super Hangon
6) Diablo
7) Doom
Cool Ghosts'n'Goblins
9) Dragon's Lair
10) Kung Fu Master

So, hehe, here is the real top 10 list of manly games Very Happy

Who cares if they are video games, or PS2 games, or whatever.

I don't know about that one. A guy wearing knight's armor is chased by ghosts and loses everything but his skivvies when one touches him? Sounds gayer than riding the big gay ride at Gay Land to me.

I dunno. I have a level 9 assassin who will perform a very lady-like curtsey
after handing you your guts on a platter.

Without a doubt...

Quake 3 Arena.

Visuals (cool exploding gibbage, maps) , sound (HUMILIATION...can't get enough of that), gameplay (Grunt laughing as he runs over your corpse)...pretty testy indeed.

Contra was a good choice for #1.

Ikari Warriors should have made the list.
