I'm looking for some live sports events in Seoul or Suwon. I'm having trouble because it's tough to get information in English. I'm usually pretty decent at fishing around for things on the Internet, but it's all come up driftwood and old boots this time.
Red Herrings:
-Stadiums, like Jamsil, don't seem to post their schedules.
-Teams, like the Samsung Lions or Hyundai Unicorns (baseball) post dates and venues, but not times. It's tough to get them on the phone too.
So, can you offer me any leads? I'm up for all sorts of stuff, but soccer or baseball would probably be at the top of the priority list. Thanks! |

For baseball, go to: http://www.koreabaseball.or.kr/ and find the / button at the top (3rd button from the left), and put your cursor on it, then you'll see the options 1 and 2 right under it. I think 1 means this week, and 2 means next week, but I'm not sure. Click on 1 and you'll see dates, stadiums, teams playing and times for this week. It's all in Korean, but fairly simple to figure out.
PS The season opener at Jamsil is on April 8th between LG & Doosan. Look for the half-drunk foreigner pounding back the beer with a few friends, and it very well might be me! |

Suwon Bluewings. Get into the soccer. There's quite a good level of competition. Which basically means they're so crap that any underdog can rise to any favourite. Local footy has a lot more variables. And when the sleet blows in under your umbrella, you know you're in amongst the real sports fans.
The local soccer's great. |

Thanks a bunch, Hanson, for the link. That's golden. Mr. Skinhead, where can I find out when these footy lads are playing? |
