Last year, me and a couple of friends (here in Korea) called a friend of ours in Canada that had worked in Korea a few years previous. We excitedly told him how we had all managed to get time off for midterm break (early, I know) and we were coming into Pearson Airport on flight XXX (which was a real flight) at 9:30 am on April 3rd, and that we needed him to pick us up at the airport. We played it up, saying we were gonna party like crazy for 5 days.
Not only did he go to the airport to 'pick us up', but he took a day off to do it. When he realized we weren't on the flight, he asked at an information desk at the airport. They told him the flight number we gave him was coming in later that day, at around 4pm.
He went home, fuked around for a while, and came back to 'pick us up'!
I think he was a bit pissed for a few days before seeing the humour. My friends and I were literally rolling on the floor when he finally told us about his day... It couldn't have worked out better if we'd tried. |
