without a doubt Tokyo..

Money is not my consideration in not moving there...you can bank just as much money there as you can here, it is the girlfriend that prevents me from moving back there.

I'm quite happy where I am, so Seoul. Second, Tokyo, because you can do privates there and earn a packet. I like Sydney, but I'm not particularly interested in any of the others.

Honorable mentions: Shanghai, Hong Kong, Rome, Lisbon, Kyoto, Sapporo, Berlin.

I would choose Brazil or Berlin if it was not for the money.

It's hard to just make money a non-factor. There's no doubt that it was more fun to be rich in Shanghai when I lived there than it was to be poorer in Osaka when I went there. However, there is no doubt in the world that I like Osaka alot more than Sh. And then, almost every place in Italy, Germany, and France I've see is better than almost any place in Asia. But it's expensive over there so life isn't as good. If I could maintain the level of relative wealth I had when I lived in Sh -- about 7x the average wage of a person living there -- then I cant think of any reason not to be in Rome or Paris or hanging out in Bordeaux region or Tuscany... cleaner, more beautiful, better roads, more to do for fun, better quality of everything from food to refrigirators in which you put that food. Why would anyone stay in Seoul???? whatevah to each their own I guess.

I would prefer a million-dollar condo looking over the beach on Maui.

But since that ain't gonna happen - Thailand!

Mexico. I'd be back in a flash if I had a good job and my wife agreed.
