You need a tv tuner. They come in an assortment of packages- pci card, pcmcia card, as part of a graphics card, external USB...

Thanks Bul, and I looked at your link. I am not sure if this is what I want, or I am not sure if I explained myself.

Can I watch TV if I do not have the channels? I know tht I can plug my computor into my tv and watch what I download. I was wondering if I could watch TV shows that are not broadcasted in my area.

you mean something like this, or this, or this? Looks like you'd just need someone to provide the feed.

Thanks guys, but I am not sure this is what Iwant, if I am reading it correctly. 'slingbox" is not good to me cause I can not connect it to anyone home. The channels I have are very limited. I want to watch < that I do not have.

My computer skills are zero.
