want to download games....what programmes needed to run them

hey guys, i want to download games such as grand theft auto etc, but i dont know where to look to find the programmes needed to play them. they download ok, but wont play. i know i need some sort of thing to play them. please if anyone can givres us a hand it would be much appreciated

What kind of games have you downloaded? PC? X-Box/360? PS2? I usu only do PS2 games. Usu they d/l as rars. You have to unpack them using WinRAR or ALZip or sth like that. When unpacked, they become an ISO which has to be burned (usu) with a DVD burner using some burning program like Nero, Alcohol, or DVD Decrypter. Then you're good to go as long as you have a chipped PS2 or Swapmagic or sth like that so your PS2 can play the copied version. Sorry, but I don't know much about Daemon Tools...

Although daemon tools aren't for everyone (since a small mistake in the settings can fark up your system), you can play games with it by downloading a "nocd" crack file in the same place as you download the game. Anyways, so I've heard!
