I'm heading down there for the weekend to do some sightseeing (Haeinsa) and am looking for a decent place to stay for the weekend (around 50k)

I know there are a ton of places around Dongdaegu station and the bus terminals, which ones are decent?

Also where do the foreigners hang out there?

Itaewon, Communes, Old School and Thunderbird are all popular foreigner locales. You'd prob be able to find the location of these with a few questions....especially to a foreigner. As for hotels, since I live here it's not really my expertise....I say take a short walk to the Subway and go to Banwoldang or Daegu Station...THEN get out and take a look....DongDaegu station is a little bit off the main drag and I'm SURE there's got to be some sketchy rip off business goin on with hotels around there Twisted Evil

On the same side of the street as Daegu Station (very close) are two love motels (side by side). For 50,000 you can get computer, jacuzzi, big screen TV, etc. Get there early to reserve your room for the night. It is walking distance from the downtown area.

also, try just behind the station. i stayed at TIME yeogwan on the left backside of Dongdaegu station. Huuuuuge room, nice tile floor, king size 4 post bed, jacuzzi, internet... for 50,000.
