Well, um, it may inconvenient to discuss, but no.
Congress and the Attorney General have the power to call for an independent counsel, not a political party.
In fact, Janet Reno appointed an idendendent counsel to investigate Democrat Mike Espy.

A multi-million dollar investigation into a multi-billion dollar and priceless civil liberties?
Money, in this respect, seems a nominal concern.

Scooter Libby goes on trial next January under Fitzgerald.
Letting the President appoint someone to investigate the White House is a seriously flawed concept. |
