Are you an American citizen, registered to vote in CO?

You'll undoubtedly note, even if it is inconvenient to discuss, that each and every time an independent counsel was unleashed to perform his witch hunt, it was the political party that was not in the White House that did the unleashing.

Well, um, it may inconvenient to discuss, but no.

Congress and the Attorney General have the power to call for an independent counsel, not a political party.

In fact, Janet Reno appointed an idendendent counsel to investigate Democrat Mike Espy.

You're trying to make things black and white.

It is clearly an instrument of partisan warfare, and it was so obvious during the Clinton Administration.

See above.

Just because you're one of the bitter partisans and you like it (when it works for you) doesn't mean too much to me.

And frankly, I do not have time to pour through your long, rambling, and boringly predictable diatribes against W. Bush and "arguments" for an independent counsel. I already know the message.

Your diatribes against me are what's boringly predictable.

I'll leave it at that. Wouldn't wanna ramble.

A multi-million dollar investigation into a multi-billion dollar and priceless civil liberties?

Money, in this respect, seems a nominal concern.

See the rest of the thread regarding other parameters.

Scooter Libby goes on trial next January under Fitzgerald.

Letting the President appoint someone to investigate the White House is a seriously flawed concept.
