Twisted Evil Unbelievable! I had a call from the recruiter yesterday, asking me if I'd been to two universities...? I replied in the negative, wondering what all this was about. Apparently my university transcripts show my date of entry to uni as December 1997, but I graduated in May 1998!! When I called my university, the computer system was (as luck would have it) down and the transcript department must have been having 'care in the community' day because the guy I was trying to explain things to sounded like he was on some serious medication... So about an hour later a lady phones up, very apologetic and trying to figure out what the problem is, explaining blah-blah-computer-system-blah-etc. She said she has changed the transcripts manually (by hand), and put a cover letter in with them explaining what had happened. However, I've just found out from my recruiter that there's no way immigration will accept them like that, so now I have to wait until Monday and get back on the phone to my university. I'm thinking maybe a trip up there might be the best idea.

Now I'm a bit worried in case this all takes another week or maybe longer. I'm due to be starting work in a public school at the end of April, and am leaving my current job on 21st. God knows how long it will take to get my visa sorted, provided I can actually get my proper transcripts. I'm just hoping that the school dont give my job to somebody else, as I am already spending a small fortune on Fedex (2 shipments so far, and at least one more to come) - although perhaps my incompetant university should pay to ship the transcripts out there! Mad

My university says they sent my transcripts over two weeks ago now.

I guess that's why it's called snail mail. Rolling Eyes

If they aren't here by Monday I'll have to get them Fedex-ed, something I should have done in the first place and will do next time there's "only" a month lead time.
