I find their apple flavour inoffensive on the whole, but my favourite is the DON'T SLEEP flavour

incredibly overpriced,
puzzling so,
given how cheap many other gums, candies and the like are. |

Xylitol (an artificial sweetener that was found to harden tooth enamel) is the ingredient that make Trident 'good' for your teeth. |

I don't know why the xylitol gum tastes so bad in Korea. I don't even know why it costs so much. But that I can say that it tastes totally different back at home and the taste lasts longer, too. Maybe the amount of xylitol isn't as high in Korea as here?
Hey, of course it tastes better here, because we "sort of" ivented it!
"The dental significance of xylitol was discovered in Finland in the early 70's, when scientists at Turku University showed it could prevent caries.
Xylitol-Jenkki, the first xylitol chewing gum in the world, was launched by the Finnish company Leaf in 1975." |

If you ever get the chance to give your students gum from back home, like Wrigley's, watch their faces. They get so surprised by how different it tastes and by how long the taste lasts. |

The sale of gum should be banned here, as in Singapore, until the populace can learn to keep their gum smacking at a reasonable decibel level. |

Xylitol pretty much does suck; but if you want sugarless here, you're not going to find much of anything else. There's one or two kinds that taste slightly better than the others, but they pretty much all suck. Actually, pretty much all gum sucks here. Guess it depends on people's tastes. Still, I think it's sth that Lotte, Orion, and whomever really need to invest some more time in. Flavour, what exists of it, last for about ten seconds. They need to import some Dentyne Ice. As a previous poster said, they tend to hate that stuff...call it "Mool-pass-uuuh"...I always reply, "Better than that crappy xylitol." It's strange that most of the kids don't like peppermint...they say it's for grandmothers. |

Yeah, sorry for the confusion. Let me rephrase that:
"It's strange that most of the kids don't like the taste of peppermint..." No, that could be a problem, too...
"It's strange that most of the kids don't like peppermint's taste..." No.
"It's strange that most of the kids don't like the taste of peppermint gum or candies or peppermint in general..." No, sorry again.
Damn.
"It's strange that most of the kids here don...
"It's strange that most Korean kids don't seem to like the taste of peppermint gum or candies. They tend to say that peppermint is a taste to be enjoyed only by grandparents." Alas, I give up. |

Lotte Spearmint is the best gum in Korea. And it's only 300won. |

YES YES YES!!!
I whole heartily agree. Ever since they changed the recipe for "freshmint" gum i switched to spearmint. my store next to my school has run out of both, so now have to revert to juicy (fruit). Just not the same, but does the trick. I go through 2 packs a day. nothing worse than a teachers smokey breath on you. when hit up by the kids as to why should i be allowed to chew in class, i just give them a choice, works every time.

Yellow packet with juicy written on it, with little pics of fruit. nearly the szame, good enough in my opinion |
