| Shouldn't the story in the dead wife riddle be told as the man seeing nobody else in the car? |

Three guys driving in a car. Car breaks down. They walk into a nearby hotel and ask for 3 rooms. The hotel manager explains that there is only 1 vacancy. They take the room and are charged $30 total. Each man gives a $10 bill and they adjourn to the room. About 10 minutes later the manager decides to give the guys a $5 discount because of their late arrival. He pops open the cash drawer and gives the bellhop 5 $1 bills. When the bell hop arrives at the room and the men open the door, the bellhop explains the discount. The men ask how they are going to divide it up equally. So, they decide to each keep a dollar and give the bellhop the other $2 as a tip.
So, each guy gets one dollar back and origionally paid $10. Each guy therefore only paid $9 since they each got a dollar back. $9*3= 27 + $2 bellhop tip = $29. Where did the other dollar go? |

Bulsajo: Easy. She gave birth to a kid and died because of the blood loss or something like that. Could have been an alien that she gave birth to and it sunk it's teeth into her throat. |

They didn't pay $27 + the $2 tip. The $2 was included in the $27 they paid.
It's embarassing that I had to cut up 30 small pieces of paper to figure that out. |

So ya had to cut up paper? That cracks me up. Good thinking though.
New riddle: Make 26 cents using only two (US) coins; one of them can't be a quarter. |

Yes, I believe so. "One of them can't" and "neither of them can" have two completely different meanings. |

A really balanced man.
With 50 at the beginning, and 50 at the end, and 5 in the middle.
The one that starts every clock lies in both in betweens.
Put them all together and this man is not inclined to do anything. |
Balanced? Inclined? Har har. I think I get it. |
