|
|
Hi there,
Im officially 30 and I am starting to feel somewhat out of place in the bars around town. My friend (35) and I are looking for a cool expat/koreans welcome bar that possibly cater to a little older crowd. Any suggestions?
*must have dancing and men*
Thanx!

| JongnoGuru swears by a place he frequents in the alleys around In-sa Dong. He says the shuffleboard tournaments are ripsnorters. I'm sure he can give you directions if you ask him, although you'll have to speak up. |

| Hmmm.... would't mind a little on this myself, being a widower and longer in the tooth than most expats... and single Koreans. Womens thats isn. |

Ya-ta, you $&#^%! Hm... oh, what the hell. ...
Yes, come join in the fun, Butter808fly! Shuffleboard League Competition starts later this month and we're having signups all this week and next! New members will need to see me and get a registration form. Just ask for "Pops". But try and make it early in the day or just after lunch, because I get cranky and forgetful when someone interrupts my afternoon nap.
Ya-ta's right, those shuffleboarders take the game very seriously, as you can see from all the sweaty tension here.
But if shuffleboard's not your speed, you can take part (if a man) or watch & cheer (if a lady) in our sack races.
What wild fun!
After a long day of intense competition, the men like to retire to the Smoking Room to discuss war, politics, sports and women while puffing on our fine selection of big, fat, black, manly Cuban cigars.
Or to the Reading Room to look at women's fashion magazines and listen to soft music at a low volume.
Tastefully appointed, yes?
Meanwhile, the ladies adjourn to the Sitting Room to discuss recipes, household management and poetry, and to plot their children's weddings and husbands' next career move.
So let us know when you'd like to visit and we'll have everything arranged. (Nearly) Everyone is welcome at The Guru's Country Club, where you'll soon become a fogey long before you're old, and where we trapped & killed Political Correctness on our last safari, and mounted the animal's head above the fireplace in the Smoking Room. |

Wow, you sound like a dashing old chap. Thank you for the invite to your fabulous yet quaint little shuffleboard club. Those sack races, though, may be too much for my old heart! I may have to sit and take a rest while listening to the soft music you spoke of.
Seriously...... okay, well I guess Im not THAT old... maybe Im just not that into bars anymore... just the thought of 21 year old GIs just doesnt hvae the appeal it used too, ya know? How about 35 year olds with a stable job.. okay, sounds good. Hrm... well, doesnt matter how old you are if all yer doin is dancin' see you out there. |

Dude, I am officially 41 and I can still pull chicks almost
half my age. This is Asia, duh! The expiry date for Asian
women is serious. Why would you want to date anything
over 30? Unless you got some kind of fetish or something.
If I was still 30 I would be dating 1st year uni chicks for sure!
Ajuma bars!? You gotta be kidding, right? |

The first porn I ever saw was a copy of Hustler a friend had in third grade. One page had an old couple playing shuffleboard.

I heard JG ran a swingers club for older folks for a while...
then someone broke a hip and they had to start swaying instead of swinging... |
