Hi everyone. I briefly bumped into a foreigner the other day at the Jinju Bus terminal and he seemed like a nice guy. I dont have his name but was very curious to see whether or not I could track down this person via the internet.

He is approximately 31 from Australia up north in Cairns. He has recently returned from teaching in Thailand for 9 months spending new years there. He has now returned to Korea to teach in a Hagwon out in the sticks somewhere (down the south area I assume as I think he was linking to another bus at the Jinju Bus terminal). Prior to Thailand he worked in Korea for 3 years in the Seoul area.

Does anyone know who he is?

Thanks for any ideas
Ellie

Maybe you could join a police Internet discussion forum and find a nice RCMP special unit member to teach you about cyber-stalking?

You didn't strike while the iron was hot...chalk this one up as an opportunity missed. I've been there, but there's not a whole lot you can do except hope that you might run into him again. How is it that you gleaned that much info from the guy and never learned his name?

This reads like a commercial for Bad Idea jeans.

haha, bad idea jeans.

"Now that I have kids, I feel a lot better having a gun in the house."

"Normally I wear protection, but then I thought, 'When am I gonna make it back to Haiti?'"

but really, i don't think this is such a terrible idea. a strange one, i guess. but it might work out.

Not to worry - I'm sure some pretty k-girls will have his phone number and he'll be deleting ten messages a day soon enough.

K-porn contains a lot of texting? Well you've been here a lot longer than me. If that's the case then why are all the girls texting on KBS Drama and getting it on on OCN?

Now, now, junior. Be nice to the ladies. How many times do I have to tell you? Wink

Good luck, Ellie. Can't be too many foreigners down there in Jinju, huh?

A stranger (who we don't even know for sure is female) seeks our help in stalking a guy she met for five minutes at a bus station. Now, let's see if someone with an obviously male name had posted:

"Hi everyone. I briefly bumped into a foreigner the other day at the Jinju Bus terminal and she seemed like a nice girl. I dont have her name but was very curious to see whether or not I could track down this person via the internet.

Eric"

How do you think people would respond to something like that?

Now, now young lady, be careful with strangers you meet on the Internet. How many times do I have to tell you? Wink

I can see your point, but Ellie seems innocent enough. If she said she met a guy in a bar and she was drunk, he wouldn't talk to her, was married, etc., and she still wanted to track him down, that's another story.

I came on here (or maybe it was ES) a couple of years ago and said something like, if anyone knows "Tom" at XYZ hakwon in Daechi, tell him to call me. Similar thing. Someone can tell Jinju boy to send Ellie a PM if he wants to contacted, right? Personal info. doesn't have to be given in that case. ^^

How do you know she didn't? You or I could probably provide a dozen references from Dave's members we know in real life but how many posts have you seen from the OP? 'Ellie' is probably some innocent girl who's just as naive as you but you have know way of knowing. I was stalked by a woman in Canada and if she came to work in Korea and knew I was here and roughly where I was working I could see her making a post exactly like the OP but with 'Daegu Bus Terminal'.
