| I am not a gyopo but my Korean is near the advanced intermediate stage. My vice principle encourages me to use Korean in the classroom. Immersion classes don't work twice a week for 40 minutes when you are teaching elementary students with poor English skills. My students learn the target language thoroughly, and classroom order is maintained. I haven't actually met many gyopos who speak Korean very well, but those who do usually work for Korean companies on 3 million won a month. |
