I've just found out that I'm getting 4 days off instead of 3 for Lunar New Year's and I'm thinking about going to either Vietnam or the Phillipines during this time. If anyone is going to either of these destinations, can you post the cost of your flight? Thanks.

711,000 one year open ticket from Seoul to Manila.

They were advertised for much less if under 15 days.

538,000 won round-trip ICN-Hanoi and back - for a stay of up to 15 days. It's over 130,000 more for a 15-30 day ticket. A 15 day ticket is 100,000 won more over the Christmas week (23-29th Dec). Stay up to a year and pay considerably more.....

This is from Kangsan Travel. I was quoted a much higher price from an agency in Seoul.

Also HCM City would be somewhat more to fly to.....

That sounds really expensive for a flight to Vietnam. I got a ticket last summer (during Korean summer vacation) and I only payed 350,000won with return, for 1 month open. Use some Korean websites like www.daum.net, or www.onlinetour.co.kr, or www.whypaymore.co.kr

The high price of jet fuel makes stating flight prices older than (say) 6 months useless - the TYPICAL flight costs to RP used to be around W 380,000 to W 420,000 for non-peak periods such as October/November. Flights into Cebu or Clark seem cheaper.
