I've noticed that even the best record stores here don't keep up with the major release dates. You may have to wait a few weeks to get it.

My advice? Preorder it online and get it delivered, or just download it on www.allofmp3.com when it becomes available a day later.

If you don't have a credit/debit card, maybe Syranna Records (sp) in Sinchon, the shop in COEX, or one of the many independent stores in Hongdae. Some of them actually offer special ordering, and you may be able to swing getting it on the 3rd.

I would recommend just downloading it for free, but I happen to love Tool. There are a select few bands I support by actually purchasing their albums (either CDs or on a legit mp3 site).

Or buy it from Ebay. You might even find a deal on it there.

Actually, record stores here do keep up with major release dates...it's just that dates for here are often different for those in other places. This primarily has to do with record labels having different distributors in different countries, and it's not uncommon to have imported cd's right next to their otherwise identical (and cheaper) Korea- licensed versions (which may or may not be manufactured in Korea) right next to each other on the shelf.

I'll bet if you can find out who distributes Tool's label here, you'll be able to find the release date. Best of luck.

the kyobo had everything on the day of release. sometimes the Korean release date would be a little later (or sooner) than the US release date. I don't remember which one it was, the black eyed peas or something which had its CD out in asia like a month before in the US. anyway that kyobo has evething out on the korean release dates. i'm sure the other big stores are the same
