Very small rural high school, plus two middle schools. Love the Grade 1 boys and usually love the Grade 3 boys. Could machine gun the Grade 2 boys and get an award of merit from the rest of the teachers who all hate that bunch, too.

Am debating re-signing. If the head of the English department had a clue, I'd be set here for life. The area is great. Some interesting people and experiences. But he stays awake nights planning how to do stupid things. Three of my 4 elective classes are entirely filled with the losers at the bottom of Grade 2 class--Let's import a teacher and give him all the losers so the rest of us don't have to deal with them! Anyone old enough to remember John Travolta as a Sweathog on Welcome back Kotter? There is not John Travolta in my classes, but they are Sweathogs.
