EFL LAW is doing something weird again. How much do you bet they have taken all the unpaid options out because people weren't paying enough.

I love it.

You don't know what has happened at Efl-law.

You don't know what the changes are going to be.

But you are sure going to a) boast about not paying, and
b) brag about your visa status.

For 2 guys, who are married (to Korean women) and have many years in Korea, you often sound like frat boys bragging about last night's adventures. Here, and on Efl-law.

You are an A$$. I have never heard of you which means you have never had anything important to say, and once again you have nothing to say. I was joking about the visa....didn't you notice the smiley. Please resist the urge to respond to me in the future.

I know the law guy messed up, wrote some unfounded crap, got called on it, threatened and had to shut down the forums. Now its almost all pay stuff. Why should I pay them any money if they keep screwing up? If I pay them and they screw up again? How long will the site be shut down for then? As it stands, I see no reason to give them any money as there are no benefits to it and I have doubts whether the site will be up for much longer.

P.S. who are you on EFL law? Did I ruffle your feathers?

What always amazes me about EFL Law is the mods are more than happy to slam/gossip ad nauseum about ESL teachers in Korea for a long list of transgressions, moral or otherwise--yet ESL teachers are the very people they want to come to their site and pay for info.

Not very classy.

In general the stuff that gets said there about the rest of the industry and its players gets pretty libelous/slanderous at times--and they've even got the internet laws about that posted on the site....kind of ironic for a pseudo-"legal" website Laughing

Looks like they've been hoisted by their own petard this time. 'Bout time.

This is wrong. You completely misunderstand the situation at Efl-law. Things that have been posted by other members attacking that school, someone from that university found the posts and went after the efl-law site. But the original reason for closing the site down was the nutcase trolls, which you and other members fell for every time, the trolls were attacking the site. The admin had to close down the site, go through posts and delete some crap, and then try and block these trolls. Thanks for letting everyone 'know', though.

..."You are an A$$"... A clever opening remark, which really reflects your inner true self.

..." I have never heard of you which means"... you don't know me.

..."you have never had anything important to say, and once again you have nothing to say"... makes perfect sense, and once again your logic astounds and confuses.

..."I was joking about the visa....didn't you notice the smiley."... Well, perhaps I was laughing on the inside. You know, that part of me which likes tasteless jokes. Oh, wait, you don't know me....

..."Please resist the urge to respond to me in the future."... Sure, as long as you resist the urge to post misinformation. Then you've got a deal, me bucko!!

Never said I was "in the know"--believe it or not Hondo, I gleaned this unhappy observation of mine all my own from reading the site and its mooings of some of the admins about getting threatened of being sued.

They cleaned it up somewhat after that, but still I figured the "new and improved" EFL Law would be a lot more serious than the fallacious and gossipy prattle that goes on about everyone else in the industry--I was wrong. In fact I was so disgusted I removed the link to their site from my sig which I had for at least a year. I'm not going to help send people to that.
The old EFL Law was way better.

So soreee!

Every site gets trolls--that's what mods are for.
I guess they could be reciprocally accused of bending to/being in bed with the Big Bad Powers now just to stay in business eh?
Doesn't that sound familiar Wink

Okay.... Yeah, stay on your side of the internet.

Canuckistan, you're stilling modding here. A site which let's any scummy recruiter post job openings, some of which don't actually exist and are scams. A site where there is so much misleading information that any newbie could get lost, and even those who've been in Korea for a year or two can't always decide what is 'truth' and what is 'out the arse'. Some days I can't even look at this site, and on others I look but never sign in. The stench from here is bad, but why wade in it?
