My hawwon has paid for a flight to Fukuoka return thats it.
I tried to gte them to pay for a hotel but no,
Now what about the cost of the visa?(60$right) do they usually pay for that too?
btw contract says they will pay for the"trip to Japan to obtain your visa and legalise your working status' |

| I would say thay your hotel is negotiable, but I wouldn't expect them to pay for your VISA. If you were back in your country, you would have to pay for your VISA, do why not now. I think it is fair that they are only paying for your flight, unless it is otherwise stated that they will pay for your hotel. |

In a visa run to Japan you should recieve:
Plane ticket(round trip)
Taxi and train fare
Visa costs
Hotel costs
Meal costs
Spending money
Any establishment that sends you on a visa run without at least 500,000 won and a plane ticket in your pocket is a cheap SOB that you most likely wont want to work for! |

| Grotto forgot to mention the limosine service, the room service massage ^^, movie tickets for 2, reservations at a night club and the tailor-made suit/dress that comes with a visa trip for a good school. |

| The fact of the matter is: If the dumbasses at the school had their act together to begin with you should have your visa before you come to Korea....the fact that they havent arranged for your visa before coming to Korea speaks volumes about their stupidity! Why the hell should you have to pay for their idiocy? |

My school paid for all of the above and I would have told them to take a hike if they hadn't! |

Well, I'm headed off the island now, after three years, and my new director said he'd pay 400,000 won for the visa run.
That's more than enough to cover the ferry & hotel from Busan (kangsan travel's special deal), taxis and buses, food and application fee.
But it's less than the cost of airfare. |

They should, but if they won't, $60 for a hotel and $60 for a new visa aren't worth sweating if the job genuinely looks good otherwise. |

Hotels can be really pricey in Japan.
I don't get why they don't get a "package" where you get a hotel/airfare combo deal. They are much cheaper than buying those things seperately.
Last time I had to do an Osaka run (before the days of F2) my employer paid all expenses. |
