My students are always asking me to play this game, but I don't know how it works. Can anyone tell me what the rules are?

It's a kind of talking game where they have to practice numbers and counting, it looks like fun and a good way get all the students participating.
I have no clue. Shocked

Also, there is a similar game that is called something like "big tree" or Big Free--- not quite sure. Does anyone know how this one works?

I will describe what I remember: There is a leader who stands in front, each student gets a number. They start clapping a rhythm and the leader says "big tree number 3" (or whatever number) The student who has that number has to answer back, "number 3 - big tree" and then it goes back to the leader. If the student makes a mistake they go to the last position, if the leader goofs up they go to the last position and student 1 becomes the new leader.

It looks simple enough, I just am not sure about what they are supposed to be saying. Big Tree, big three, pig free?

Does anyone know this game?

Thanks in advance.

Catch the Mouse is a Korean drinking game.. and kids play it too. Without the drinking. It was too complicated for me to work out when I played it with my university girls. Play 007 instead, thats much easier haha.

ok i've played "catch the mouse"

catch the mouse catch the mouse chi chi chi (sp?)
catch the mouse catch the mouse chi chi chi (sp?)

everybody yells "how many?"

the first person picks a number....lets say "5"

the next person has the choice of saying "caught it" (with a grabbing motion) or "oops" (with a hittin' ur self in the forehead motion)
then its the next person's turn

now..."caught it" has to be said 5 times and then everyone must throw their hands up and say "WOW".

Then the next person to the last person to say "caught it" starts with the new number.....

and if they say "zero" then everyone must say "wow" and then its the next person's turn.

Does that make sense?

oh and if anyone messes up the flow....well...u can decide the punishment..... Laughing
