I assume it's Seoul 'cuz it's the biggest. Does anyone teach in Daejon? How far away is the Artist's Colony from the city? What other cities have accesible art scenes? I'm thinking something like performance/tagging/zine/anarchist-squatter-punk style without the hipster condescension. Maybe that's impossible. I currently live in a fishing town and don't ever want to see another painting of a boat with v-shaped gulls swarming above. |

Hipsters and squatters and punk scenes?
Dude, this ain't the East Village or south London! This is the ROK!
Maybe Hongdae-Shinchon area of Seoul is what you're looking for. There are some artsy-types and night clubs. |

If you want galleries, Seoul has tons of them. |

I have absolutely no idea what this means.
I suddenly feel like I'm getting old. |

Yes, that's akin to asking who is the best figure-skater in Botswana. And a 'hip' Korean? Another oxymoron. (I might be jaded, but I'm not bitter.) |

They come from all over but they meet up in Seoul. There have been people out in Bupyeong, Anyang, and particularly Chungju, but usually it's only a matter of time before they meet up in Hongdae. |
