After they finished their audit last fall, are they still asking people to complete the degree confirmation form?
I would think that with the sealed transcript thing going on, that would be enough to make getting the E2 visa more unbearable for some. |

Nothing wrong with that. Might keep some undesirables out. |

Good call. Theres a reason why this is a teachers' market right now. Wages are rising and thats good for everyone. |

Not necessarily.......
I was looking at the job ads on several sites and I feel the jobs advertised are paying the same as they did back in 2001 and 2002. How are they rising?
And if you go to the job forum, you can see that the conditions are not getting any better either.
Not to mention that alot of people would just come on a tourist visa and teach that way, how can things get better?
It didn't work well for Taiwan (the model for Korea's immigration policy), how will it work for korea?
I feel that the confirmation letter and the sealed transcripts policy might be short term fixes that might not work for the long run.
There will always be ways around it..... |

Seriously, most of the job ads on here are for newbies with no connections and no idea of how to get a job here. The best jobs are, and always will be, found through networking.
This is the low end, what's advertised on here. |

I rarely agree with Mr.inkoreaforgood...but the man is correct here. Just as back home, the best jobs are (usually) not advertised. |
