Azureus has tried to lock up my computer several times....I always assumed it was due to insufficient memory.

How much RAM do you have?

I could see how Azureus could lock up my computer (because of RAM issues), but in this case it is only locking up the internet, which leads me to believe it's not a RAM issue.

OK. I took Gord's advice and reset the "max connections", and I downloaded that patch Hanguker mentioned and things appear to have settled down somewhat.

Muchas Garcias!

AHHHH, HELL!

Well, end the end none of that stuff worked. My connection still craps out when their are many seeders (around 100 or more). Happens on different sites, so it's not an issue with a particular torrent site. Why 100 or so seems to be the lucky number is anyone's guess....

Anyone??

Mine crashes frequently when I download from certain sites like bitme.tv, but less so from others like torrentleech. I've found that if I limit the download speed to 50 kb's, and don't use the internet until the torrent's complete, it's far less likely to crash.

The same thing happened last night whilst using Soulseek! So it's not an Azureus issue after all. It's not even a torrent issue.

The internet connection just craps out after a certain amount of info has been downloaded, which leads me to believe that my internet provider is CRAP.
