So whats the deal with getting an alien registration card?
Ive just come home from my visa run? Does my school do it or do i get it myself, how long does it take/cost etc?? Id prefer to sort it myself if possible as my school are awful fuckwits at organising things...

You'll have to do it yourself.
Take your passport and a photo or two to your local immigration office.
I think they charge about 30,000 for it... not too sure.
The last time I had to replace mine because my wallet was lost/stolen, it took 10 mins... have you had one before? If so, it'll probably be really quick. |

| Take two passport sized photos, your passport and an official document from your school. Cost is 10.000won. Takes about 10days to process. |

Can I just ask what is the ARC card needed for?or is it really needed? Do all teachers have them or can u do without?
Im going to be leaving in a couple of months and was wondering would there be any difference if i just didnt get one? |

I am now very confused. Why are you leaving in a couple of months if you have just got back to Korea from a visa run?
I think the law stipulates that anyone who is staying in Korea for more than 90 days need to get an ARC. It's just for identification purposes - you need it if you need to change your work place etc in case immi or the police wants to check your stay-validity. |
