I'm thinking about heading down to Busan with three friends for the long weekend and was wondering if it's absolutely necessary to make a reservation for a hotel or if it would be ok to just head down there and wing it?

Are there lots of yeogwans near the ferry terminal? The ferry to Japan leaves from near Nampo-dong right?

Why not just spend 8,000 won on a jjimjilbang? You can sleep there as well as use the shower and sauna facilities.

Stay away from motels around Busan Station and Texas Street, they are dirty and scummy.
