Here's a great free utility for your flash memory MP3 players. Unlike your 40 gig iPods, your flash memory players can't hold the sum total of your music collection. Sometimes you want a random selection of songs. For example when I go out for a run, I like to dump a random list of songs. But trying to do this manually. Dragging and dropping files randomly is time consuming and not the most random of processes. Anyway, this mixtape utility quickly scans your mp3 files, makes a file list based on max file size or max play time, and then lets you drag and drop the file list to your MP3's flash drive.

I downloaded this and it makes the playlist fine. But how am I supposed to find the hundreds of files and transfer them to my mp3 player. the only export option is an m3u file - which as I understand it is the playlist.
I just got a new mp3 player and have never used playlists before so maybe I'm just missing the obvious here - but help would be appreciated. |

Just click on the file list, select the file names the way you'd select any file from a folder, and then drag and drop onto your mp3 player's flash drive. |
