I am sorry if this has been posted before, but when I try to use the search button, I just get a blank page.

Anyhow, I come across random postings of schools that aren't so great, but can anybody (aside from recruiters) suggest schools that, in their opinion, are good?

I found a site that had a lot of schools listed with reccomendations, but I can't find it now (thought for sure I bookmarked it... of well).

Any help is smiled upon. Very Happy

I would try to get a public school job. That's my take on the matter. It would be a very good idea to stay away from hagwons with fewer than 6 workers!

Good luck

My recommendation for good schools is:

Hire people who can spell recommendation.

Couldn't resist.

English schools tend to have small staffs & better schools are often just a happy concurrence of capable flexible teachers & appreciative owners. To list a school somewhere online as "great" is meaningless. A sign of a good school is teachers who do in fact care about who replaces them, which largely precludes anonymous posters with no evident credentials & user names like "muckhead."

And I might avoid so-called 'head teachers' who misspell 'programs'.

Oh yes, high and mighty overlord. I teach ESL here in San Diego, CA. I have a multiple subject CLAD teaching credential which makes most any TEFL, TESOL, whatever you wanna call it, look like a pathetic joke. The classes I have taught here are quite possibly far more demanding than abroad, but do I go around bragging like a wimpy little boy? No. I come here to relax and be cool with people. Get a life.

For everyone else who has treated me like a person, instead of acting like they are royalty, I truly appreciate your help.

Hehe. Good on ya for having a sense of humor. And I think you can edit the title of a post if you want.

Good luck with your hunt.

I think the school I worked at recently was good. It's the REI American Language Institute in Jeomchon (Mungyoung). If you want details I can give them.
