I got a friend coming in from Taiwan in a few hours, and if she doesn't stay at my place I thought I'd put her up in a love motel, since they're pretty cheap. However, she mentioned youth hostel, and I was wondering if these even exist in Seoul? Are they a good idea, and where're they at? |

This site lists some hostel type places. I have no experience with any of these establishments, but I know that at least a few places label themselves as being for backpackers. I'd guess that you'd spend just about the same money and have a better experience at your local love shack/yogwan/whatever. |

I stayed at Hostel Korea a few times. Good place, very clean, nice people, kitchen, and very cheap; 10,000-15,000 won per night. Tricky to get to (over a bridge, up an alley, left, right, left, right), but Hostel Korea can be 'googled'; the manager met me at a nearby restaurant and showed me the way the first time. |

Love hotels run between 30,000 and 40,000 won, and they're pretty easy to find lined up along many subway exits. I've stayed in them before: once when I first got here and again when I stayed overnight in Suwon. I've had good experiences, and I recommend them for travellers.
However, a hostel might be a safer bet at least for your first few nights. Chances are the boss will have at least a small command of English, and you'll save 10,000 - 20,000 won per night. Sorry I can't recommend any, but it's easy to find information on hostels on the internet. |

I've stayed in a couple of love motels before which were okay and payed around 30,000 for two people in total. Is this the case for Hostel Korea? I mean would it cost only 15,000 for one or for two?
Thanks! |

I am not sure about two people. I would think they charge by the body. Here is the number: 762-740. It is close to Dongmeo Station line 6.
