Plastic Surgery a Hot Gift for Parents' Day
A 57 year-old woman, who wanted to be named as only Lee, has recently undergone plastic surgery to make her flat noise a little longer. She also received double eyelid surgery to fix her once-droopy eyelid from a well-known plastic surgeon in Kangnam, an affluent business and residential district in southern Seoul. "My two children urged me to undergo the surgery, paying three million won ($3,200) for my surgery as a gift for the upcoming Parents' Day," Lee said. Parents' Day falls on Monday.

According to the Korean Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (KSAPS), the number of people over 50 undergoing plastic surgery has increased over 10 percent per annum during the past few years.
