So I went out for a bit a jaunt today since it was so beautiful. I put on my sunscreen and still look like this ---> Embarassed

My big mistake was using sunscreen that was over a year old, and well passed it's expiry. Doh! I am supposed to go out on the school field trip tomorrow, but I don't think that's going to happen. As my arms, neck, scalp, legs and even my feet are RED RED RED (insert red neck joke here).

I haven't been burned this bad in Korea ever.

Yeah it was much better today than yesterday. I waited until about 5 when it wasn't so hot and strolled around Mokdong for a few hours. Beautiful area, by the way. And, I still have my cotton complexion, for better or worse. Smile

Ha! I had the same thing happen today. I went out for a bike ride in the countryside for a few hours today and my arms and face were red within an hour of my return. Now, usually it takes around 6 hours for the redness to set in, so I knew I was in trouble. I went to the grocery for some aloe, but left empty handed. Now it's 7 hours later and I'm in agony! I can just imagine the comments I'll get from my students tomorrow.

You had sunshine yesterday? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! It was our 4th weekend in a row with rain. There was one patch of blue sky that lasted no more than 5 minutes.

Is there a noticable diference in climate within each city?

If so which place it best to chase the sun? I thought it would be Jeju but reading lonely planet it says it rains most of the time there too Confused Is the further south you go generally warmer in winter and summer?

Geoje island an hour south of Busan gets only a couple of days of precipitation (rain or snow) per winter. In fact, entire months go by without a cloud in sight in winter, rich deep blue skies, due a lot to the weather systems from the pacific pushing the asian clouds up and onward to Japan.

I went out for an almost two-hour walk with Spinoza yesterday and didn't get burned at all (I burn easily). The trick? Staying on the shady side of the street.
