Looking to find about Korean national holidays. Which ones are mandatory for hogwans to give off and which are optional?

None of the Korean National Holidays are optional. Look on a KOREAN calendar and you will see them in red.

May 5 was the last one.
June 6, July 17, August 15 October 3, October 5, 6, 7 (Chusok) and December 25 are the remaining ones for the rest of 2006.

Bursting your bubble, but this is not an "exclusively Seoul" thing.

Ah OK, my bad. My bubble's not burst, though. It wobbled a bit, but it's fine now.
